唐鳳，你知道你被靜音了。所以事不宜遲，我想邀請 Toby Walsh 上台。Toby 是新南威爾斯大學與 Data61 的 Laureate 人工智慧教授。Walsh 教授是倡議確保 AI 被發展、被用來改善人類生活的重要聲音，也在全球關於自主武器——也就是殺手機器人——的討論裡十分突出；他被《The Australian》點名為澳洲數位革命的搖滾巨星之一。

怎麼樣。我覺得這挺好笑的。對，嗯，我覺得是真的。Toby 有正式頭銜，但我也要說，Wisdom & Action Forum 是一場只准搖滾巨星參加的活動。所以接下來幾天，我們中間還有很多榮譽搖滾巨星。Toby 將與了不起的唐鳳對談。唐鳳是公民科技人，也是全球數位民主與集體智慧最重要的聲音之一。作為臺灣首位數位政務委員，唐鳳開創了新的公共參與途徑，用科技把市民、政府與公民社會帶進協作決策。唐鳳倡議科技應該放大集體智慧，而不是自動化分裂。所以請為唐鳳與 Toby 大力鼓掌。

Welcome, everybody. Hello. Welcome to the Wisdom & Action Forum. This is very exciting — very, very happy to see you. My name is Samuel. This film was created by our friend Sho at creative studio Liminal Quadrant, so round of applause for Sho. Thank you, thank you so much. What a great, great way to kick things off.

Folks, we're so on time we don't know what to do with ourselves. I'd like to acknowledge country. I acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which we gather, and we pay our respects to their elders past, present and emerging.

A couple of quick housekeeping things. And you're aware that you're muted, Audrey. So without further ado I think I'm going to invite Toby Walsh to the stage. Toby is Laureate Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the University of New South Wales and Data61. Professor Walsh is a leading advocate for ensuring AI is developed and used to improve human lives, and has been a prominent voice in global discussions on autonomous weapons — a.k.a. killer robots — and he has been named by The Australian as one of the rock stars of Australia's digital revolution.

How about that. I find that quite hilarious. Yeah, well, I think it's true. And Toby has the official title, but I will also say the Wisdom & Action Forum is a rock-stars-only event. So there are plenty of honorary rock stars in our midst over the next few days. Toby is going to be in conversation with the magnificent Audrey Tang. Audrey is a civic technologist and one of the world's leading voices on digital democracy and collective intelligence. As Taiwan's first digital minister, Audrey helped pioneer new approaches to public participation, using technology to bring citizens, government and civil society into collaborative decision-making. Audrey is known for advocating that technology should amplify collective intelligence rather than automate division. So please, a massive round of applause for Audrey and Toby.
