As you mentioned in your opening remarks there, given Taiwan’s proximity to China and the high amount of travel between the two countries, researchers at Johns Hopkins had initially estimated that Taiwan would have the second most amount of cases of COVID-19 in the world outside of mainland China. Clearly, that’s not the case.
