It is a relief. I’m not arguing communism, but I think this commons distance between the entirely private and entirely communal has a lot of room to grow, even in the face of Facebook and so on. GDPR, with its right to portability, may be the first step. The next step could be, for example, defining an ongoing data relationship as something that could be compensated.
