Copyleft, to me, is the fourth of the freedoms, and with that second-order freedom, people who enjoy this freedom must also keep the next generation free. It is not that I pass freedom to the next generation and they then close it off, so that my grandchildren's generation no longer enjoys it. They must enjoy it too — that is the idea of copyleft, or share-alike.
