I’ve seen lots of stuff this week about very cool applications of AI tools and thinking about practical implications of AI and Wikipedia. AI is also a political project. And a lot of these hypercapitalist companies, as Lane was mentioning, have political alliances with authoritarian governments and military surveillance and such. And some of them are very explicitly against the commons — digital — or even using up other commons resources. How can we reconcile this, or think about resisting this AI as a political project? Should the community be doing this, and how? Thank you.
