
And so there's now a time gap between Facebook knowing there's a scam ad and the target jurisdiction's police knowing about it. And during this -- like thirty hours or so -- Facebook massively increased the share of the incentive that they collect from the pay-per-click of those scam ads, because they can. Right? So their revenue actually grew. So this is what's called a perverse incentive. It actually makes those target jurisdictions, like Japan, see more scam ads as a result of Taiwan passing this law.
